Throttle profile is a setting on electronic speed controllers that works similarly to the exponential throttle setting on a radio's transmitter.
You can choose a steeper throttle profile to give more throttle response when you begin to pull the trigger and less as you pull the trigger further, or a milder curve will give you slower response early on, but a stronger throttle response as you pull the trigger all the way.
Milder settings may be useful for tight, technical tracks where you spend most of your time at low speed and want to have precise control, while more aggressive profiles may work well on faster, more open tracks, where you spend most of your time at high speed and deep in the throttle.
