Wedge or cross-weight refers to the amount of weight that is on the right-front (RF) and left-rear (LR) tires as compared to the left-front (LF) and the right-rear (RR). It is usually calculated as the weight measured on the RF and LR tires relative to the total weight as a percentage.
Formula for wedge: RF weight + LR weight / total weight
More wedge (more weight on RF+LR wheels)
- More push / less steering
- Drives out of the turn better
Less wedge
- Less push / more steering
