Why Run Upside-Down Shocks on Your Off-road RC Car?

The Hall Brothers share a great video discussing the pros and cons of running inverted (upside-down) shocks on your off-road RC buggy or truck. They focus on 1/10 scale racing, but the principles apply to other scales as well.
Also check out JQ's response and clarifications below - he gets more technical with his explanation of what's really going on as the car's weight shifts, and he presents options that could solve the same problems (excessive weight transfer and roll) without inverting the shocks, which has its own downsides (increasing unsprung weight.)
And, now it gets REALLY good - the Hall Bros post their rebuttal to JQ's points. This one goes about an hour, but if you're serious about learning about weight transfer and how to think about measuring the impact of various changes, it's an excellent watch.
I truly hope we get to see more content like this in the RC community going forward - folks trading knowledge online for the benefit of all. Great stuff - thanks JQ and Hall Bros!
