RC Gear Recommender Evolves into RC AI Mechanic!

We all know that RC setup is not easy. What gear should I use?  How do I keep my car from spinning out? Traction rolling? What the heck is roll center?

Here at So Dialed, we help drivers answer these questions with tools to track your setups and setup changes like the RC Setup App, and we've created our Setup Guides and Troubleshooting Guides.

However, we know that it still isn't always easy to even know where to start to get answers, and the process may take too long, especially when you're at the track.

So, that's why we've evolved our RC Gear Recommender app into its final form: the RC AI Mechanic.

Just tell your AI Mechanic what car you have and what kind of track you're on, and it can answer a wide range of questions, giving you ideas on how to improve your car's handling. The app already knows the basic data for hundreds of cars, so you can start asking right away.

Ask absolutely any question you have about RC cars and setups! Ask it how to get more steering on corner-entry, how to improve straight-line stability, how to get more run time, what roll center is, what pinion to use, you name it.

We got some great feedback from our beta testers:

"I must say, I’m currently 25th, about 10-15 places better than I expected, thanks to the app. I’m asking everything!"

"This app is amazing. It's a game-changer. I love to 'talk' with the app, like 'I need this and I’m thinking of that, would it help me?'" - Gerardo M

Gerardo hit on a key point there: the AI Mechanic works best in conversation! Ask questions, and then ask for clarification, or push back on things you don't agree with - it will improve its answers and help you think through ideas.

Please note:

  • RC AI Mechanic will provide ideas for how to solve handling issues, but you still need to test them! Every track is different, and some of AI Mechanic's suggestions may not work in your specific situation. If you need more ideas from your mechanic, just ask it!
  • The AI Mechanic may occasionally "hallucinate" which is an AI researcher's way of saying "make stuff up." If you think an answer is wrong, tell the mechanic, and it will correct itself.

When you download the app, you'll get a pack of free questions, and once that's used up, you'll still get one free question per day, and if you'd like more, you can buy a pack of questions directly in the app. No subscription required!
