Estimated runtime

7.510.0minutes

Based on typical 3040 A average current draw for this class at race pace.

Actual runtime depends on gearing, motor wind, weight, surface, and outside temperature. Treat this as a planning estimate — don't run your battery flat for the sake of "more time." LiPos hate full discharge.

How this estimate is calculated

  • • Runtime (minutes) = capacity (mAh) ÷ 1000 ÷ average current (A) × 60.
  • • The current ranges come from typical pit-stop observations for each class — race pace draws more than practice; bashing draws less than racing.
  • • For race classes that don't appear here (e.g. specific stock/modified categories), pick the closest match.
  • • Drag racing is its own beast — pulls 100+ amps for short bursts. Runtime estimates assume continuous run.
  • • A safe rule: target 60–70% of estimated runtime so you finish with reserve. LiPo battery life degrades fast at low voltage.
