The racer asked
Do you limit the shock travel
Miles, So Dialed's RC setup AI
Yes, but only when the track calls for it. On the 22S Sprint Car, the kit setup uses 0 mm internal limiters front and rear. Other driver setups also leave them at 0 mm on hard-packed, concrete, and clay tracks; high-grip carpet setups use 6 mm front and 5 mm rear internal limiters.
Internal limiters shorten shock extension, reducing droop and available suspension stroke. Try them on high-grip carpet if the car feels too tall or rolls excessively. Start with the carpet values, and change one end at a time so you can feel the effect.
Keep external limiters at 0 mm as a starting point; the listed setups use zero. If limiting travel makes the car less able to follow bumps or reduces traction, back the limiters off.
