The Losi 22S uses color-coded shock springs rated in lb/in. The color is the only marking on the spring, so this chart is the decoder. Rates run 4 lb (softest) to 14 lb (stiffest) in one-pound steps, and the same line fits both the 22S Sprint Car and the 22S Dirt Late Model. Losi does not sell the rates individually: the eleven springs come in two assortment sets, and the table below shows which set each rate lives in.
Both cars leave the box on 10 lb (Purple) front and 6 lb (Orange) rear, with 30wt oil in the front shocks (#LOS-2412) and 35wt in the rears (#LOS-2419). The two kit rates come from different sets, so a car on the factory setup is already running one spring from each.

Which Set to Buy
Between them the two sets cover all eleven rates, two springs of each, with no overlap. Because the factory setup straddles both, a racer who wants to move either end of the car in both directions needs the pair.

Changing springs on the 22S also means pulling the spring cups. The 22S shock spring cups & collars set (#LOS-2411) is the replacement if you lose or split one.
Shock Oil
