In the 1/10 2WD buggy class, racers gear by final drive ratio: 6T and below near 9.40, 7.5–8.5T near 9.22, 17.5T near 6.48. On the JRX-Pro SE's stock 86T spur that is about 20T for 6T and below, 20T for 7.5–8.5T, 29T for 17.5T. Tight tracks gear down, open tracks gear up. The JRX-Pro SE has an internal ratio of 2.18:1. Final drive ratio = spur ÷ pinion × 2.18. With the stock 86T spur, a 18T pinion gives an FDR of 10.42 and a 32T gives 5.86.

Out of the box the JRX-Pro SE runs 40 wt front, 40 wt rear (Team Losi oil), on Pro SE Teflon (#5012) front, Pro SE Teflon (#5012) rear pistons. That is the kit setup; you will need to adjust it for your track conditions. The RC Setup App can help dial it in.
The kit springs are 2” 3.5lb Green (#5132) front, 2.5” 2.6lb Red (#5152) rear. Stiffer springs suit high grip and big jumps; softer springs add grip on slick or bumpy tracks.
