Reduce bottoming-out

"Bottoming out" is when your car's suspension compresses so much that the chassis scrapes on the surface of the track, typically either on the ramp of a jump or when the car lands after a jump.

• Shock damping: heavier oil / smaller/fewer piston holes
• Shock angle: outward at the towers
• Shock springs: stiffer
• Ride height: higher
• Droop: more
• Rebound: more
• Shock type: emulsion rather than bladder
• Wheelbase: shorter at front
• Anti-squat: more

Prevent nose from rising

• Weight distribution: more in front
• Rear downforce: less (smaller rear wing, reduce wing angle, move wing forward or down)
• Front wing: add
• Throttle control: change throttle mid-air. Depending on the car, this may mean accelerating or decelerating.

Increase jumping distance

• Springs: harder
• Damping: more, especially to create more pack / prevent bottoming out
• Gearing: smaller pinion
• Anti-squat: more
